Laga Consultant Program > Our CommitmentOur Commitment to ExcellenceWe believe that the work we are doing in Aceh is vital to the rebuilding of thousands of lives after the 2004 tsunami. Although the media has turned its attention to other news, thousands upon thousands of people continue to exist without adequate housing. We at Laga have taken on the responsibility of creating an employment oportunity for those most devastatingly affected by the tsunami. The patterns used in all of our Laga bags are designs that have been passed down from generation to generation. Working with our very talented manager, Hanna and a full staff in Aceh, women are trained in embroidery and construction. They commit to memory all the designs and hand-guide them on pedal-driven, single-head embroidery machines. We are working hand-in-hand with the people of Aceh in order to provide the highest quality product and continue to upgrade and revise styles and features to better meet the needs of the US market. We are committed both to the needs of the people we serve as well as to our customers from around the world. We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee on all our products and welcome comments and suggestions. Our Commitment to our ConsultantsIn order to assure the continued growth of the work to rebuild, we need to pave the way for more people to hear our story. Although Laga bags can be found in very select boutiques throughout the US, we have chosen to make direct selling the thrust of our project. We have found that Home Shows are a very effective way of communicating the ongoing needs in Aceh, providing employment and income to its victims and, at the same time, offer the opportunity to people around the world who would like play a more integral part in the effort to bring restoration and a brighter future to tsunami survivors.Unlike a lot of other direct selling companies, Laga Consultants are not required to meet a quota. Our Consultants have varying goals, from stay-at-home moms working part-time to retirees who want to devote every moment to promoting Laga and everywhere in between. We have a whole range of Consultants making a defining difference in the world through their own circle of influence. Read about what some of our Consultants have to say about their association with Laga. Some home-party businesses are encouraged to recruit other Consultants to earn a cut of their sales. We want Laga to be all about the bags and especially the story behind them, not about the business of getting others to get into business. There is no down-line. However, in our quest to grow our Consultant base, we have developed a very simple Referral Program. Laga has also developed an aggressive Host Incentive Program. When contacting us, please ask us about all the details of our Consultant Program. Our Commitment to the DSWAHaving dedicated the majority of our focus to direct selling through Home Shows, we feel it is essential to provide our Consultants with every opportunity to succeed in their business. Therefore, we have recently committed to Corporate Membership in the DSWA (the Direct Selling Women’s Alliance) which provides its team members with tools and resources to build their business! As we move forward in our quest to help heal the wounds in Aceh, the "Land of the Beautiful People," we hope that you will think about how you can be involved. Whether it's buying a Laga bag or two, telling others about the work we are doing and sending them to our website, or getting involved as a Consultant or hosting a Laga Home Show. We are looking forward to hearing from you!! Roy and Louise van Broekhuizen Co-founders |
