“I love mine! They last forever!”

Laga wallets are handmade by skilled artisans in Sumatra, Indonesia. These artisans are survivors of the 2004 Tsunami. Each handmade wallet is sewn on non-electric treadle machines with hand-guided patterns. The unique embroidery has been passed down through generations and is indigenous to this area. It’s a historical piece of art that has even been featured at the Smithsonian. Our wallets have been named “Uang” which, in Indonesian, means “money”. Made from a blend of nylon-polyester material and embroidered with nylon-polyester thread, Laga wallets are also water and stain resistant. Creative, authentic and attractive, each Laga wallet and sold provides an opportunity for empowerment for artisans and their communities.
Laga handbags, totes, travel bags, and accessories are all custom designed using the latest durable nylon-polyester fabrics and threads with fashion-conscious color schemes, patterns for the woman who desires an exquisite product that helps others.
